Advancing Wellness Through Plant-Based Science and Education

CPHA integrates botanical research, nutrition science, and community education to support holistic wellness.

Rooted in Tradition, Growing Toward the Future

Founded in 1982 in Enugu by Dr. (Mrs.) Flora Ilonzo, the Centre for Psychic and Healing Administration has been a pioneer in phytomedicine, nutrition, and botanical education for over four decades. What began as a vision to bridge traditional knowledge with modern science has grown into Nigeria's leading hub for natural wellness.

Expanded in 1997 with our headquarters in Enugu and a branch in Awka, Anambra State, CPHA's outreach now spans across Nigeria. We believe deeply in the principle "Your food is your medicine." This philosophy guides everything we do, from our teaching gardens to our community workshops.

Through strategic partnerships and public education initiatives, CPHA advances plant-based health education and research. Our outreach includes digital platforms, a curated botanical teaching garden with over 375 documented plant species, and Ka Oha Malu, a radio program on the Anambra State Broadcasting Service that explores plants, their chemical composition, and evidence-informed medicinal value.

Resloving the friction between man and nature

Dr. (Mrs.) Flora Ilonzo

A pioneering phytomedicine practitioner, herbal researcher, accomplished artist, and dedicated humanitarian, Dr. Flora Ilonzo has devoted over 40 years to the healing arts and the education of communities across Nigeria and beyond. Her vision transformed CPHA from a single center into a nationally recognized institution for phytomedicine and natural wellness.

Author of numerous books on phytomedicine, nutrition, and holistic health, Dr. Ilonzo has shared her expertise at international conferences across the United States, Europe, China, and Africa. Her contributions focus on integrating phytomedicine within established medical and scientific frameworks, applying botanical knowledge through evidence-informed, preventive, and complementary clinical practice.

As a mentor and educator, she has helped thousands reclaim their health through natural means and inspired countless scientists, researchers, and practitioners to explore the healing power of indigenous plants. Her legacy continues to grow through every student taught, every community reached, and every life transformed.

"Nature provides everything we need for healing. Our responsibility is to learn, preserve, and share this wisdom with future generations."
